How to update theme?

Updating your Azino theme and its core plugin ensures you get the latest features, improvements, and bug fixes. Follow this step-by-step guide to update them easily.

For this tutorial, assume the theme name is Azino, with its file named azino and its core plugin file named azino-core. Keep this in mind as you follow the update process.

Step 1: Log in to Your ThemeForest Account

  1. Visit ThemeForest and log in to your account.
  2. Hover over your username in the top-right corner and select Download from the dropdown menu.

Step 2: Download the Latest Files

  1. On the Download page, locate the Azino theme in your purchased items list.
  2. Click the Download button next to the item.
  3. Unzip the downloaded file. Inside, you’ll find:
    • azino.zip – the latest Azino theme file.
    • azino-core.zip – the plugin file for Azino’s core functionality (located inside the plugins folder).

Step 3: Update via WordPress Dashboard (Recommended)

Updating the Azino Theme
  1. Go to Appearance > Themes in your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Locate the Azino theme and click the Update button (if available).
  3. Alternatively, deactivate and delete the current Azino theme, then upload and activate the new azino.zip file.
Updating the Azino-Core Plugin
  1. Navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins.
  2. Locate the Azino-Core plugin and click the Update button (if available).
  3. Alternatively, deactivate and delete the existing plugin, then upload the new azino-core.zip file under Plugins > Add New.

Step 4: Update via FTP (Alternative Method)

If you prefer or need to use FTP, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your hosting server using an FTP client like FileZilla.
  2. Navigate to the wp-content/themes/ directory.
    • Delete the existing azino folder.
    • Upload the new azino folder from the unzipped file.
  3. Go to the wp-content/plugins/ directory.
    • Delete the existing azino-core folder.
    • Upload the new azino-core folder from the unzipped file.

You’ve successfully updated the Azino theme and its core plugin. Your website is now running the latest version with all updates applied.
